Stevenswood History

Stevenswood was established in 1997. The first company in Scotland to offer 70mm fully sculptured frames, now the industry standard. Stevenswood has fitted more than 2000 conservatories in central Scotland and continues to offer a wealth of experience to our trade customers in this area.

Initially all of our products were bought in, but with the same old problems still associated with buying from south of the border, we decided to start manufacturing our own conservatories. We started manufacturing conservatory roofs in 2000, and quickly added frame manufacture.

In these days we were fitting up to 8 retail conservatories a week plus supplying our excess manufacturing capacity to trade customers. The growth in trade supply windows quickly had us producing 200+ windows per week. (We now produce 700-800 complete windows and doors per week!)

At that time we decided our way forward was to concentrate on trade supply and to stop retailing. We also decided that, if we were to compete on quality, service and to remain competitive we would have to invest heavily in the latest CNC machinery and the latest software.    Since 2003 we have invested well over £ 1,000,000, in state-of-the-art machinery. We have installed the industries most advanced window production software and we have converted our factory to a totally lean manufacturing facility.

We now occupy five factory units in Napier Square, Houstoun Industrial Estate, Livingston, where we produce the largest range of top branded fenestration products available in Scotland.

Most of our customers that we supplied when we first started manufacturing continue to buy from us, plus we have amassed an impressive customer base of around 400 installation companies, joiners, builders, self builders, councils and housing associations throughout Scotland.

We now have four trade centres in Livingston, Edinburgh, Dundee and Kilmarnock where you can order your windows and conservatories and associated trims, silicone etc.   Stevenswood now manufactures in excess of 700 complete windows and doors per week and is proud to be the largest trade fabricator in Scotland.
